About the definition of internal energy provided by datasets

Dear Professor ,

I've tried to use the temperature from full-snapshots of TNG-300 data, but I found that the order of cell temperature is too high(about 10^6-10^10) if use the formula in FAQ5, suppose the internal energy u provided by data is ratio between internal energy of one cell and mass of the same cell, which is deduced from the unit of u.

I guess I misunderstood meaning of u, so could you please provide some related papers of the definition of u?

Thanks a lot!

Cheng

Hello,

We just discussed this in another thread, where you can find some python code.

The cell temperatures in the simulation should generally be ~10^4 - 10^8 K.

Dear Dylan,

Thank you very much. I'll check it in detail.
