I am trying to find the noiseless initial density field of TNG-300-1-dark, but I cannot find such data.
I wonder whether it is possible for me to obtain such information or to get essential information (random seed, input power spectrum, and GlassFile [for testing] ) to generate it.
Thank you for the help in advance!
Can you explain a bit more, what exactly you are after with a "noiseless initial density field"?
Sure. I am interested in testing the flexibility of the Lagrangian perturbation theory model described in https://arxiv.org/abs/1910.07097 (also in https://arxiv.org/abs/2101.11014). The basic idea is to use the noiseless initial density field (i.e., the density field used to generate displacements) to construct a set of basis maps. These maps can then be used to weigh the dark matter particles in later snapshots to predict halo and galaxy density fields. My goal is to understand (a) whether, with the presence of baryons, these models based on dark matter only simulations can predict halo density fields and (b) whether it can predict galaxy density fields given the illustrisTNG galaxy model.
Please send me an email? I will try to make what you need available.
