I was wondering what simulations did The Explorer in illustris-project.org/explorer used.
I read the information but it didn't specify which simulation it was, and I was not able to match the data from The Explorer to the Simulations of Illustris-1, 2, and 3 (Although that may be a mistake on my end.)

Hello,
The original Illustris explorer shows Illustris-1. If you use any of the search functions (e.g. the spyglass icon on the left), you will see results include subhalo IDs, and these correspond to IDs for Illustris-1 (z=0).
