I'm hoping this isn't a stupid question, but I can't seem to find it explicitly stated in the documentation; is the list returned by illustris_python.groupCat.loadHalo ordered by HaloID?
Halo 0 corresponding to the 0th element of the list etc. I think this must be the case, and I've done a few tests, but it would be nice to get confirmation.
Also, do those halos correspond to the Halo IDs required to get cutouts using the API?

Hi David,
Yes that's correct, i.e. "ID" and "index" are used interchangeably. The same also applies to subhalos.
