stellar masses units

Hi,

I'm trying to use the stellar masses given in the simulation for some work. I read here (http://www.tng-project.org/data/docs/specifications/) that the units of stellar masses are given in 10^10 M(sun) / h. However, the values for subhalo I am looking at (#499463) using these units yield values of masses of individual stars that seem unreasonable - up to 10^7 M(sun), I was wondering where the issue lies?

Thank you very much,

Zainab

Hi Zainab,

In TNG100-1 the typical stellar masses will be around 10^6 solar masses, while for TNG100-2 (or TNG300-1) they will be closer to 10^7.
